Since the 50s, the Port of Södertälje has been a major import port for new cars. In connection to the port there are facilities for pre-delivery inspections to be carried out.
Rail car transporters leave the port daily to other destinations throughout Sweden. The position of the Port of Södertälje is excellent for automobile manufacturers having central Sweden, Stockholm and the Greater Stockholm area as their
market.
