Robert Tingvall new MD of Södertälje Hamn

The Port of Södertälje’s board of directors has decided to appoint Robert Tingvall as the MD of Södertälje Hamn AB. He takes up his position on the 1st of October.

The Port of Södertälje’s board of directors has now concluded the recruitment of a new MD. Robert Tingvall, Telge’s current chief financial officer, was the candidate with the right profile. He has been a member of the Port of Södertälje’s board for a little over five years and has a good understanding of the company’s operations.

“We are very pleased to have been able to recruit Robert as our new MD,” comments Claes Hellgren, chairman of the board. “We have acquired a business strategist who is extremely familiar with the port’s challenges. We were looking for a person with international experience who has also worked with business development and strategic projects. Robert’s personality fits excellently into the MD role. He is a good listener who can create confidence and thus inspire the port’s employees.”

Robert Tingvall leaves his post as chief financial officer on the 1st of October and immediately takes up his role as MD.

“I’m pleased that the board chose Robert as the port’s new MD,” says Stefan Hollmark, CEO of the Telge group of companies. “Having been on the board and worked close to the business for several years, Robert has a good understanding of the company’s operations. At the same time, it is also a fine sign that there is good development potential within the corporation.”

Up until the 1st of October, Tommy Engström is the interim MD of the Port of Södertälje.
